Alexis de Tocqueville Society
The Alexis de Tocqueville Society Program was initiated in March 1984 by United Way of America and was designed to deepen the understanding, commitment and support of individuals to United Ways while recognizing extraordinary community service. Membership in the Society is granted to those individuals giving $10,000 or more annually to their United Way.
The local Alexis de Tocqueville Society of the National Capital Area was established in 1996. Members of this premier group are our region's most generous philanthropists who recognize that this community is only as strong as its ability to give to the heart of what matters.....helping those in desperate need.
By becoming a member of the Society, you will unite with other community leaders and philanthropists throughout the Greater Washington Metropolitan Area to assist United Way empower families, children and individuals to realize their dreams.
